Do you have a question?

We have you covered.

Retina is the innermost layer of the posterior part of the eye that receives images and transmits them to brain.

An optometrist will conduct a standard work up which includes recording medical history and visual complaints, checking vision, eye pressure, ocular motility, and pupillary reaction. After initial examination, your both pupils will be dilated with eye drops & then retina specialist will examine you.
Retina is evaluated by Indirect Ophthalmoscope: It is done in lying position. It gives comprehensive 220 degrees complete retinal view under 2-3 times magnification. As light is bright you might experience a bit of photo-phobia (light intolerance).
No. We do recommend that you are accompanied by another individual. Your eyes will be dilated for an average of 4-6 hours causing blurry vision and affecting your ability to adjust to sunlight as well as your ability to drive.
For a new patient an appointment can take an hour or two for routine clinical retinal evaluation. If further evaluation is needed, necessary investigations may add up to your time. For review patients or during follow up, appointments vary depending on the number of tests being performed in clinic and can be from an hour to around three hours.
